CONTEST DESCRIPTION
The Town of Grand Bay-Westfield wants you to show us how you celebrate fall with photographs of yourself, family, friends and/or pets. Pictures of your home with scarecrows, hay bales, pumpkins etc…
Please read ALL the requirements below prior to submitting photographs.
CONTEST PERIOD
The Grand Bay-Westfield Fall Fest Photo Contest (the “Contest”) is administered by the Town of Grand Bay-Westfield (the “Administrator”) and will take place from Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 12:01 a.m. until Sunday, October 16, 2022 at 11:59 p.m. Atlantic time (the “Contest Period”).
PRIZES
There are a total of three (3) prizes eligible to be won by random draw. Each winner will receive one (1) gift card to a local business. The random draw will take place on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
The Administrator is not responsible for the failure of any reason whatsoever of a selected potential winner to receive notification or for the Administrator to receive a selected potential winner’s response. Each entrant may only claim one prize.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
No cash alternative or substitution of the prize is provided, except that the Administrator, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the prize is unavailable for any reason. The prize is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind and must be accepted as awarded. The administrator disclaims all warranties including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
ELIGIBILITY
The Contest is open to everyone all ages. If the Contest winners are under 18 years of age, the prize is to be claimed by a guardian. There is no limit on the number of photographs submitted. However, there is a limit of one random draw entry per entrant. Town of Grand Bay-Westfield members of Council and Staff are not eligible for the random draw.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION
By participating in this Contest, you agree:
Photographs will be screened for appropriateness before being considered. Photographs that are deemed inappropriate will be void. Appropriateness of the photographs is at the sole and exclusive discretion of the Town.
By entering the contest, the participant authorizes Grand Bay-Westfield to reproduce and display all submitted photographs on the Town website, social media channels or any other print and digital materials.
Participants who submit a photograph depicting people (readily recognizable), attest to the fact that all said persons have provided their permission for the photograph to be submitted to the Town for this contest.
To be bound by these Official Contest Rules and the decisions of the Administrator, whose decisions are final;
That if selected as the winner(s), you give the Administrator and its agents the right to publish or broadcast your name, likeness, voice, image, recording, video footage or statements for editorial, promotional, advertising and publicity purposes, without compensation other than the value of the prize offered;
To release and indemnify and hold harmless the Administrator and all their respective officers, directors, employees, owners, agents, contractors, representatives, successors and assigns from any liability in connection with or arising out of this Contest, the awarding of the prize, the use of any personal information or the use of merchandise purchased in relation to winning a prize.
TERMINATION
The Administrator also reserves the right, without prior notice, and at any time, to terminate the Contest, in whole or in part or modify, suspend or extend the Contest in any way.
GENERAL PROVISIONS
No purchase is necessary to enter the Contest or to win a prize.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Contest Rules does not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision.
PRIVACY NOTICE
Personal information in connection with the Contest is collected solely for the administration of the Contest and related purposes.
